Mr. Albert Armand Rousseau

BERLIN – Mr. Albert Armand Rousseau, 79, 0f 199 Cole Street, Berlin, passed away Friday, August 8, 1997 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital after being a patient for the past seven days.

He was born October 4, 1917 in Berlin, the son of J. William and Alice Breton-Rousseau. He had albert_rousseau_backalbert_rousseau_frontresided in Berlin all his life. He was a member of St. Anne Parish and a member of VFW Post #2520 of Berlin. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Army. He had been employed as a police officer for the Berlin Police Department, retiring in 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laurette Lafrance Rousseau, of Berlin; three daughters, Mrs. James (Theresa) Holt, of Deerfield, Mrs. Francis (Rita) Murphy, of Manchester, and Mrs. Marc (Susan) Tremblay, of Berlin; one sister, Mrs. Ida Savard, of Berlin; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Alfred Rousseau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 11, 1997 at St. Anne Church at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

 

Laurette R. Rousseau

BERLIN–Mrs. Laurette Rose (Lafrance) Rousseau, 81, formerly of 199 Cole St., Berlin, NH, passed away Wednesday morning, February 4, 2004 at the St. Vincent de Paul Health Center where she had been residing. She was born in Berlin on March 24, 1922, the daughter of Alphonse and Alma Montminy Lafrance. A lifelong resident, she was a member of the St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. She and her husband Albert had once owned and operated Laurette’s Grocery on Coos Street in Berlin. Her favorite pasttime was being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she enjoyed cooking for the whole family.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and James Holt of Alva, FL, Rita and Francis Murphy of Manchester, NH, and Susan and Marc Tremblay of Berlin, NH; five brothers, Maurice, Lucien and Robert Lafrance of Berlin, NH, Normand Lafrance of Gorham, NH and Leo Lafrance of Laconia, NH; five sisters, Cecile Gagnon and Therese Lafrance of Berlin, NH, Doris Pepin of Barrington, NH, Blanche Therrien of Connecticut and Lorraine Baillargeon of Gorham, NH; eight grandchildren, Richard, Michael, Daniel and David Pelchat, Doreen Dowding, Mark Murphy and Bryan and Erik Tremblay; four great-grandchildren, Nicole and Sarah Pelchat, Jennifer Dowding and Justin Z. Murphy; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert Rousseau, on August 8, 1997, by three brothers, Roland, Antonio and Telesphore Lafrance and by her two sisters, Annette Morin and Florence Picarde.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 7, at 1 p.m. at the St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
